Saved $1.2M in annual fuel costs and improved delivery speed by 25%.
The Challenge
Managing a global supply chain network of over 50,000 daily shipments, Veloce Global was hemorrhaging capital due to highly inefficient, manual dispatching and legacy routing software. Fleet managers were forced to rely on static daily schedules that couldn't adapt to real-time variables like sudden traffic patterns, weather events, or last-minute priority pickups. This rigidity resulted in an estimated $1.2 million in wasted fuel monthly and frequent SLA breaches. Additionally, the lack of real-time telemetry meant that cold-chain cargo (pharmaceuticals and perishables) occasionally spoiled without warning. Veloce needed an intelligent, autonomous logistics brain capable of sub-second recalculations across thousands of moving assets.
Our Solution
We delivered a highly concurrent, real-time fleet optimization engine built entirely in Go to handle massive streams of geographic data. We developed custom heuristic algorithms that dynamically recalculate the most efficient routes for the entire fleet every 60 seconds, factoring in live traffic APIs, vehicle capacity constraints, and strict delivery windows. To solve the cold-chain spoilage, we integrated a massive IoT network via MQTT, feeding live temperature and humidity data directly into a React-based command center. If a vehicle's climate control fluctuates, the system instantly alerts the driver and reroutes a backup vehicle. This digital transformation slashed fuel consumption by 25% and pushed their on-time delivery metric to an industry-leading 98.7%.
